——2018 National High Decorative Functional Building and Floor Coatings Summit Forum

On June 12, 2018, with strong support from the Ningbo Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Ningbo Association for Science and Technology, and Ningbo Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the "2018 National High Decorative Functional Building and Floor Coatings Summit Forum" was held in the beautiful coastal city of Ningbo, hosted by the Coatings and Coating Special Committee of the China Chemical Society and organized by the Ningbo Coatings Association (Ningbo Service Station). Vice Chairman Fei Xiaochen, member of the Party Committee of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Deputy Chief Engineer Zhu Dong of CNOOC Changzhou Coatings and Chemical Research Institute, and Minister Ning Bing of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology attended the meeting. More than 240 enterprise leaders, technical personnel, and senior experts in the industry participated in the meeting.

Before the opening ceremony, Deputy Director Fei Xiaochen of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Minister Ning Bing of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, accompanied by Secretary General Wu of the Ningbo Tu Association, visited the product exhibition area outside the conference venue. Secretary General Wu reported to Deputy Director Fei on the basic situation of the Ningbo coatings industry and the promotion of environmentally friendly building coatings. Deputy Director Fei highly affirmed the achievements of the Ningbo building coatings industry and was very concerned about the future development direction of the coatings industry. At the same time, he pointed out that the development of Ningbo building coatings enterprises should cooperate with national policy guidance and develop towards green, environmentally friendly, and high-performance directions. The Ningbo Coatings Association should better play a guiding and coordinating role, continuously strengthen the interaction and communication between upstream and downstream enterprises in the coatings industry, guide enterprises to actively follow government policy guidance, improve quality and efficiency, and achieve green and sustainable development.

At 8:30 am, the opening ceremony of the summit forum officially began. Vice Director Fei Xiaochen of Ningbo Economic and Information Commission, Deputy Chief Engineer Zhu Dong of CNOOC Changzhou Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Secretary General Wu Xiaoming of Ningbo Coatings and Coating Industry Association delivered speeches at the conference. Congratulations on the holding of this summit forum in Ningbo and recognition of the development of Ningbo's architectural coatings industry in recent years. When talking about the future development direction, Deputy Director Fei Xiaochen specifically pointed out that Ningbo architectural coating enterprises should cooperate with national policy guidance and develop towards green, environmentally friendly, and high-performance directions. The association should better play a guiding and coordinating role, strengthen the interaction and communication between upstream and downstream coating enterprises, actively guide the transformation and upgrading of architectural coating enterprises, and achieve green and sustainable development.

According to the conference agenda, 31 industry experts including Senior Expert Wu Xiaotian, Chief Engineer of the Coatings Industry, and Xu Qiang, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Academy of Building Research (Group) Co., Ltd., were invited to discuss industry development trends and hot issues through various forms such as expert reports, technical lectures, standard interpretation and group standard formulation, theme exchanges, excellent case releases, Q&A interactions, and industrial visits. They jointly exchanged in-depth technical solutions for architectural and floor coating coating and engineering applications.

Among them, Chairman Guo of Changmu (Ningbo) New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a member of the Ningbo Coating Association, gave a special speech on the formula and resin selection of water-based paint for building steel structures at the meeting.

On the afternoon of June 13th, representatives attending the "2018 National High Decorative Functional Building and Floor Coatings Summit Forum" visited and inspected the factory of Ningbo Pulikai Technology Co., Ltd. Pulikai Building Technology Co., Ltd. is a new type of construction industrialization enterprise with standardized design, factory production, prefabricated construction, information management, and integrated implementation. In 2017, it was awarded the "National Prefabricated Building Industry Base" by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development.

After arriving at the destination, they were warmly welcomed by Chairman Chen Jing of Ningbo Pulikai Technology Co., Ltd. Secretary General Wu of the Ningbo Coatings Association and Deputy Chief Engineer Zhu of the Coatings Industry presented a banner to Chairman Chen Jing on behalf of the Ningbo Coatings Association and the Coatings Coating Special Committee. Accompanied by the company's technical personnel, the attending representatives walked into the modern technology assembly factory and intuitively experienced the construction process of prefabricated buildings. After visiting the factory, there was a deep interactive exchange in the conference room. Chairman Chen first introduced the development trend of prefabricated buildings and the relevant policies of the Ningbo government. Dr. Liu Tie, the Chief Engineer of the company, provided answers to the questions raised by each representative one by one. This visit and exchange activity allowed all participating units to have a deep understanding of the entire process of design and construction from architecture, main structure, exterior protection to interior decoration and components, further deepening the deep integration of the upstream and downstream of the coating industry.

Currently, the competition in the architectural coatings market is becoming increasingly fierce, and environmental pressure is becoming increasingly tight. The development direction and model of coating enterprises, especially small and medium-sized coating enterprises, urgently need to be explored. The theme of this summit forum is clear, the content is rich, the viewpoints are novel, and the technology is practical, which has good reference significance for architectural coating enterprises.
