China is a major producer of coatings, ranking first in the world with a total output of nearly 19 million tons in 2016.

In the booming development trend of industrial coatings, water-based coatings have gradually stepped onto the stage with the increasing environmental awareness of people. One speculation in the industry is that over a thousand domestic coating companies have entered the stage of "oil to water" transformation, but most of them are still in the research and development stage, with only a few products applied to finished product enterprises.

The water-based industrial coatings currently produced are mainly used in markets such as automobiless, steel structures, furniture, containers, locomotives, etc.

For the painting environment of steel structures, both professional painting companies and steel structure factories with painting business have long been plagued by serious environmental pollution problems.

Usually, the area occupied by painting steel structures in workshops or sites is relatively large. The harmful substances and irritating gases diffused by traditional paints can affect the surrounding area for hundreds of meters to thousands of meters. In response to the development of society and environmental requirements, the production units that first used water-based steel structure paints not only tasted the sweetness of improving painting quality and reducing production costs, but also optimized the painting environment, which can fully gain social recognition.
