Recently, the 5th International Waterborne Industrial Coating Technology Summit was held in Hangzhou. Changmu (Ningbo) New Material Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend. The company's chairman, Yu Guo, gave a special speech and participated in on-site communication and interaction as a guest speaker at the roundtable meeting. Changmu Technology is a high-tech enterprise with world core technology in the field of water-based alkyd resin. It is the drafting and formulation unit of the existing national industry standards "Water based alkyd resin for coatings", "Water based anti-corrosion coatings for steel structures", and "Coating and acceptance standards for water-based anti-corrosion coatings for industrial building steel structures". The company has already owned 20 invention patents in the field of water-based alkyd resin and won the highest award of the 3rd Global New Materials Competition - the Grand Prize.

Yu Guo, Chairman of Changmu Technology, holds a Master's degree in Materials Science from Southwest Jiaotong University and a PhD from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is the founder of Changmu Technology and has a deep technical background in the research and development of water-based resins. He is an expert member of the Water Coating Committee and a member of the National Standards Committee, constantly striving for progress and innovation in domestic new materials based on the enterprise.

Yu Guo proposed that the current water-based resin raw materials are still an important factor restricting the breakthrough development of water-based paints in China. He pointed out that due to foreign technological monopolies, water-based resins in China have always had pain points such as high research and development production costs and high demand for additives. Changmu Technology is based on market demand, and the cost of resin materials developed and produced can be on par with traditional oil-based resins, which is expected to significantly reduce the overall production cost of water-based paints to below that of oil-based paints.
