Henkel recently launched its water-based resin product QWF4744-V (tm), a two-component polyurethane coating for roof waterproofing. QWF4744-V (tm) is a water-based hydroxyl activated resin that can be used as a waterproof coating resin for vinyl roof materials.
QWF4744-V (tm) was positioned as a resin product suitable for indoor/outdoor coating applications from the early stages of design. Therefore, QWF4744-V (tm) has a wide range of curing humidity and temperature conditions, and can endow coatings with excellent weather resistance, wear resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. The water-based ethylene coating formula using QWF4744-V (tm) can fully compete with similar solvent based coatings in terms of performance, and has the advantages of environmental protection and base flavor.
As a two-component coating resin, QWF4744-V (tm) can be applied within 8-10 hours of component mixing, and depending on the temperature, a second coat can be applied after 60 minutes. As an environmentally friendly water-based resin product, the VOC content of this product is controlled at 78 grams per liter, meeting current and future VOC emission regulations.
