Welcome to Beijing, the big family of the Water Coating Committee is once again gathered together. Congratulations! Time flies, in the blink of an eye, a busy year has passed by in a hurry. During this year, the Water Coating Committee and all industry personnel have worked hard in their respective positions, working diligently and with unity to promote the development of water-based coatings. They have made their due contributions to the best of their abilities. As the Secretary General of the Water Coating Committee, I would like to thank you for your support of the Committee's work over the past year and express my gratitude for your hard work!

Before coming to Beijing, many people asked me how the weather has been lately and if there is any haze? I smiled and said, "As a characteristic of Beijing, how can smog be absent? And I promise it's still the same formula and taste. It's time to come and supplement calcium after a year." I said and laughed, but with helplessness and bitterness, because everyone under the dome is fighting with their lives. What can we do? To put it bluntly, it's not easy to cure the Chen Ke that has been formed over the years.

However, we have seen the government's determination to address environmental issues over a period of time. This is also an important reason why I am raising this issue here. From the news exposed by the media, we can see that in the environment where the implementation of environmental policies has significantly increased, many chemical companies are walking on thin ice, including those present here. In addition to the increase in environmental protection costs, more importantly, the skyrocketing prices of raw materials, including TDI, titanium dioxide, and so on, have truly risen to a level we have not seen in many years. It can be said that these are directly related to the tightening of environmental policies, so the pressure on us is real and visible.

Of course, for enterprises that delve into the development of water-based coating technology and the application of water-based coatings, as well as for all members of the Water Coating Committee, this is also an opportunity. We know that with the awakening of people's environmental awareness, there is an increasing demand for water-based coatings. As the operator of the Water Coating Committee, I have also taken advantage of this momentum to advocate for the development of water-based coatings on multiple occasions. In communication with the higher-level small and medium-sized committees, we have repeatedly applied for relevant policies on behalf of everyone and received a lot of positive feedback.

In addition, we know that oil-based coatings still occupy an important market share, and one important reason is that the manufacturing and application technologies related to water-based coatings still need to be innovated. Therefore, in the past year, the Water Coating Committee has organized national training courses on water-based industrial coating formula design and water-based wood coating technology seminars in Cangzhou, Hebei and Shunde, Guangdong. Through down-to-earth exchanges and discussions, everyone can benefit from them. Many people have expressed that similar activities can be organized more.

Therefore, in the coming year, we plan to further expand our strengths, summarize our shortcomings, and better carry out the next water-based industrial coating formula training course and water-based wood coating technology seminar based on the existing foundation. And coordinate and organize industry personnel to conduct on-site visits to technologically advantageous enterprises, in order to further organize technology promotion and development exchange activities for water-based coatings. More importantly, we will continue to communicate upwards through multiple channels, strive for more policy support for frontline enterprises engaged in the research and production of water-based coatings, and extensively connect with the media to convey our voice and promote our image of striving for the development of water-based coatings. We will establish our brand image representing the value of water-based coatings!

Also, we just mentioned the issue of skyrocketing raw material prices. As the saying goes, in the face of the changing sea, only heroes show their true colors. Against the backdrop of widespread concern for environmental issues by the country and the public, and the impact of environmental policies on chemical enterprises, I believe that Mingguang Feizhou, which focuses on the production and research and development of green coating new materials such as concave convex rods, will succeed. I believe that Tianjin Huabao, which focuses on the research and development of water-based industrial coatings, will succeed.
