From November 9th to 11th, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Coatings and Pigments held a grand meeting in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, and our chairman attended the meeting. This conference is hosted by the National Coatings and Pigments Standardization Technical Committee and the National Coatings Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. At the same time, 272 representatives from the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Coatings and Pigments (TC5) and 5 branches (SC1, SC7, SC8, SC9, SC10), unit members, and members of relevant standard development working groups attended the meeting.

The plenary session was held on November 9th. At the meeting, the standardization revision work in 2016 was reported to all representatives, including the centralized management of international standardization, standardization research projects, important standardization management work, and the organization and management of industry services and capacity building by the Secretariat; Reviewed the standard development plan, paint and pigment standard system, standardization funds, national standards and industry standard plan projects to be applied for in 2017, etc; Deploying key standardization tasks for 2017; An introduction was given to the phased work of the national standard development project for "Green Product evalsuation Coating Products", which is of great concern to the industry; The 20 exemplary organization that have made contributions to the industry standardization work were commended and awarded honorary certificates.

From the afternoon of November 9th to the morning of November 11th, the attendees were divided into four groups to carefully discuss and review the 25 national and chemical industry standards for coatings and pigments that were planned to be submitted for approval in 2016. The representatives discussed enthusiastically and spoke enthusiastically, putting forward revision suggestions for each standard separately, and unanimously agreed to submit them in the form of approval drafts after revision.

Through the joint efforts of the attending representatives, the proposed meeting agenda and standard review were successfully completed, and the meeting came to a successful conclusion.
